Jazzed Up Punk Shit

Lyrics

(1)

Stick with Memorex
I'll take memory
Give up the will to try
Ice catches up but I still have two teeth to bite
Suntanned spite
And all the rest
The too-nice staff
The Stinking mess you made of this expressing it
[Secret tan elves]

[Chip up]

Jazzed up punk shit
Jazzed up punk shit

And with beard and beret and all that
[Kennen sie.......
(Smith's attempts at speaking German. Apparently a grammatically incorrect way of asking for directions)
[.................................................]

Which is the way to.......
Which is the way to.......

Solicitor in Studio

Which is the way to...?
Which is the way to...?
Solicitor in studio (3)

Notes

1. This song is a source of vexation, as much of it is indecipherable. Musically, it is a precursor to "Detective Instinct"; the music bears little resemblance to Jazz, although to "jazz up" something can also mean to add extra twists or embellishments. The transcription above is provided by bawbag.

Bawbag has also transcribed the following lyrics from "Who Makes the Nazis" on the In A Hole reissue (from Wellington, New Zealand, 8/19/1982):

Stick with Memorex
I'll take memory
Give up the will to live
Ease catches up
The too-nice staff
The stinking mess
You made of it

Jazzed up punk shit

^

2. "Stick with me" is figures as a refrain in "Das Katerer."

^

3. "Solicitor in Studio" had in fact already debuted a couple of months (3/12/82) before the three performances of this number (May 5, 15, and 19). Both songs were played on the 5th and 15th.

There is at least one more live recording of this which I have not heard.

Found I DO have a copy of the version from Band on the Wall, 5/5/82 .
Also, it's quite a nice recording. The vocals are more distinct and differing from the version on Hex.
My attempt at transcription :

Stick with Memorex
I'll take memory
Give up the will to try

Age catches up
I am a fool to my sludging spite
This is only ......[?]
The two eye step
The stinking mess
You made of this
Check chicket [?]
Sainsburys prick

Jazzed up punk shit
Jazzed up punk shit
Man with beard and beret and that hat
[Kennen sie......
Kennen sie.....

And it certainly does
And it certainly does
And it certainly does

Tried putting it up on Dropbox :

The lyric "Kennen Sie den weg nach" also appeared in the "A Part Of America Therein" version of "Cash'n'Carry".

Sorry for the double post above. I also wanted to add that I have the "other" live outing for the track mentioned above, that of 19 May 1982, but it's a muffled sound and I can hardly make any of the lyrics out.
